The reality of the matter is that you could likely care less what equipment your photographer uses, as long as they get the shot, right? I thought so. Trust me... I'm prepared for just about anything--on land or in the air.

IMAGINATION

I'm not trying to brag on myself here, but one thing I can tell you is that I've always looked at things differently from everyone around me. I've always been a free thinker, and I'm not afraid to color outside of the lines. As far as how that transposes to photography, sometimes it's nice to be challenged to try something new and exciting. I'll do whatever I can do to help make your photos unique to you.

I've been featured on the cover of local magazines such as City Magazine, and Virginia Brew Hub. I've also worked as a staff photographer for international music outlets: The Pier.org, and Stage Media--and have been featured on Noisey, which is a music publication owned by the VICE network.

As you might have read on the homepage, I quit my day job in 2017. I was determined not to let the 9-5 stand in the way of spending my time doing something I loved and that I was passionate about. Life is too short to spend it doing something that doesn't make you better, or happier in the grand scheme of the bigger picture we call "life." Personally, I felt like I was stuck. No one just quits their job and walks out into the unknown, right? We have to have a safety net. We need that security. Well... I did. My employer cheated me out of health insurance, and that was the last straw for me. That was the push I needed. I'm not going to say it's always been easy (it certainly hasn't), but I'm practicing what I preach! If you're feeling stuck in your life, figure out a way to change your situation and your environment. If I did it, anyone can!

I've worked hard to try to create a style unique to other photographers in my area, and that's one of the things that I enjoy the most about photography. You could line up 10 professional photographers to photograph the same subject and there's a good chance that no two photos are going to look alike. In a sea of natural light photographers, I've made it a goal of mine to become a MASTER OF LIGHT--and that is (my use of light) one of the things that I think sets me apart from the crowd. I like contrast, and vibrant color--but that's all a matter of interpretation and personal taste.

I'm proud to say that I don't know everything, and I will never stop learning new things... I don't want to stop learning new things! It's what drives me to continue to grow as a photographer. With that said, I don't want to take life too seriously--hence the "Island Attitude." I enjoy laid back sessions and flip flops. I like for my clients to have a good time and feel comfortable!
